Eligibility
In order to be considered to loan from the lending library, you must be:
A PreK-12 classroom teacher in a school district that is a part of the TSIN Hub. Listed below are the school districts that are eligible.
Bristol Tennessee City Schools, Carter County Schools, Cocke County Schools, Elizabethton City Schools, Greeneville City Schools, Greene County Schools, Hancock County Schools, Hawkins County Schools, Johnson City Schools, Johnson County Schools, Kingsport City Schools, Newport City Schools, Rogersville City Schools, Sullivan County Schools, Unicoi County Schools, Washington County Schools
OR
An informal educator (This includes organizations that serve PK-12th grade students, such as public libraries or science museums.)
**Note: Priority will be given to regional educators within schools in our TSIN District. Informal educators' ability to loan from the Lending Library will be considered on a case-by-case basis, as availability allows.
Our Satellite Sites
@ Northeast State & Greene County Partnership
Beginning this 2023-2024 school year, we are partnering with Northeast State and Greene County Partnership to create a satellite site for TSIN Lending Library materials. Educators may now choose between three options:
Loan and pick up materials from the ETSU STEM-TSIN Lending Library Hub located at Warf-Pickel Hall on ETSU's campus in Johnson City, TN.
OR
Loan and pick up materials from our Hub's satellite site in the library at Northeast State Community College in Blountville, TN.
OR
Loan and pick up materials from our Hub's satellite site in the library at Greene County Partnership in Greeneville, TN.
**Please be mindful of which location is most convenient for you to pick up materials and ensure you are filling out the corresponding application**

Types of Material Loans
The lending library will have two types of material loans teachers can request:
Short-term Loans
Short-term loans are a maximum of 30 days.
Long-Term Loans
Long-term loans are for an entire school year, based on ETSU's Academic Calendar.
Operation- Lending Library Timeline
September 1st, 2023: Application opens
September 4th-8th 2023: CESE personnel will review applications.
September 11th, 2023: Material distribution will begin.
December 4th-8th, 2023: Any materials given on a short-term loan must be returned.
January 16th, 2024: Application reopens (ONLY if materials are available).
April 22nd-26th, 2024: ALL materials (short-term and long-term loans) must be returned.
