New Philosophers -- Philosophy in Action 

Philosophy is a fundamental subject in the humanities. It relates to the fundamental questions about who we are, where we are from, and where we will go. Philosophy is related to your foundation as a person -- how you recognize, identify, and value yourself. It is such a valuable power that you can hardly learn in any other humanities subjects. 

In reality, New Philosophers is for those who are interested in philosophy research or writing. In addition, you don't have to be "professional" in philosophy. Your interest is your greatest talent. 

At the same time, our community encourages conversations on humanities subjects, relating to history, sociology, literature, and political science.

Why Start -- Quick Overview of New Philosopher

The co-founder, Yaxin (Amy) Sun, discovered a weakness in philosophy learning: the huge gap between professional research and high school journals. It is hard for high school students to learn philosophy on their own because of the extensive reading and advanced writing required. Additionally, many schools don't offer philosophy learning -- or many humanities-related subjects. However, she thought the value of philosophy is seriously underrated; that the subject inspires people most about thinking and analysis is ignored by so many students. By contrast, those who show strong interest in philosophy find it hard to learn. 

We don't expect quantity. We aim for quality. It is the true nature of "Philosophy in Action". We cannot teach someone to be a philosopher, but we do provide pathways you can try to approach the dream. We need you, a new and curious philosopher, to be a real thinker, dreamer, and creator.
