Introduction

Philosophy in Action is a website funded by Amy Sun, a philosophy hub for all philosophy lovers to bring their own thoughts and opinions about ethics, philosophy, literature, history, and other humanities-related topics into action. We advocate being thoughtful and creative. It is our mission to feel subtle but act heavy.

We want to call on people's empathy through this website to tell them that it is necessary to relight your heart for your life, family, friends, others, or just yourself.

We want to make a change. Change the world washed by coldness; change those hearts covered with silence; and change those forgotten meanings of our history and ethics.

Philosophy is in action. It is not a simple community for thought exchange, it is a community for people to feel, explore, and create!

Why Start?

As philosophy lovers, we usually feel a sense of emptiness in philosophy learning and ask ourselves, " Does philosophy truly deserve our efforts? We figure out that this problem is understandable because there are fewer relevant opportunities to guide students in learning philosophy, even though it is the foundation of thinking and communication. We believe this happens on different subjects, such as history, political science, economics, and literature. Even though we have mandatory English and history classes, they can't teach us how to express and analyze. It is not enough to stop at the superficial layer of summarizing and explaining. We need thinking, exploring, and creating. This is what inspired us to build EthicSphere and its sub-projects.

I am a high school student who wants to build a community for exploring humanities & ethics. I believe ethics is a fundamental element of success, and I promise this is an ability we can study and improve with effort.

Philosophy is the subject of wisdom. Philosophy encourages people to ask the right questions and respond accordingly. Reading books by famous figures will enable you to understand complex moral dynamics and discussions. More importantly, the inner peace I found through philosophy is so valuable that it suddenly addresses life's confusions. I will commit to philosophy so that my life can be a true lover of wisdom.
