Outreach

BEAM

BEAM is a math program that aims to get motivated students from historically underserved backgrounds onto the track to excel in math and science. BEAM follows and supports their students from middle school to high school and college, and I am very honored to have been a part of this organization by teaching in their summer program for rising 8th graders.

At BEAM, I have taught courses that touch on topics from graph theory, number theory, abstract algebra, and algebraic topology, exposing students to amazing new math and building their skills to write proofs and communicate mathematical ideas.

Mt. Tamalpais College

Mt. Tam College, formerly known as the Prison University Project, is an accredited college program at St. Quentin State Prison in the San Francisco Bay Area. MTC offers AA degrees and college preparatory courses to the incarcerated population at the prison. I have tutored and taught courses in math at MTC, and I am always humbled by the work ethic and gratitude of the students there.
