Ethan Dlugie

Hello! I'm Ethan. I'm a 6th year math PhD candidate at UC Berkeley advised by Ian Agol. I expect to graduate this spring.

My research interests broadly center around low-dimensional topology and geometric group theory. Recently, I've been thinking a lot about braid groups, mapping class groups, and moduli spaces of flat surface structures.

I'm excited to share that I will be starting as a Tamarkin Assitant Professor at the Brown University math department this fall!
