Inspired by the electromagnetic wave, THE WAVE bridge is a uniquely shaped structure that allows two levels of traffic to flow while providing enough space below for boats to pass through. The continuous curve of the bridge gives its dynamic look while providing a
dynamic function for people to move from one side to the other.
The bridge's design uses a combination of concrete and steel, carefully chosen for their durability and strength, to ensure the structure can withstand heavy loads' tension and
compression forces over vast distances.
The bridge is built in segments, a feature that enhances its durability by allowing it to
continue to stand even if a portion is damaged. An anti-earthquake mechanism is attached
below to counter possible seismic activity that may occur in the area.

Electromagnetic Wave Bridge

FUN FACT!
Ethan came upon the idea of a bridge in the form of an electromagnetic wave while in a Physics II class in 12th grade. He was so inspired that day that he drew it in his notebook beside all his other class notes. He kept the idea aside for about 5 months and was finally given the chance to execute the idea in his second architectural design plate.
Ethan plans to continue developing the design concept, improve its structural strength, and research more on the anti-earthquake capabilities it could have and hopefully someday have it built!
