The seed investment is 90,000$ CDN for the development of the app, hiring additional staff, and marketing. The start-up funding is based on research of apps similar to MicroLib, whereby the costs vary depending on the need of the project (B & К, 2020; Garina, 2022).
The revenue will be from the following:
Individual paid-subscribers.
Institutions will view MicroLib as an economical alternative to conferences or courses for librarians. The administration will be inclined to subscribe as the app serves all departments.
Library associations will subscribe so their members can have access. Another resource to entice librarians to join their association.
Advertising from library vendors.
Should you choose to invest, I offer 5% of the revenue for the first six years.
