Project Description

For this project we had to work in groups to research a country of our choice and compare and contrast the different ways they use technology. 

Location chosen

For this project I decided to research EL Salvador and my partner decided to go with Canada.

Interesting facts

• El Salvador is predominantly Mestizo with significant European, Indigenous, and Afro-descendant minorities. 

• Women in Canada who cannot speak any of the official languages have significant disadvantages. 

Lesson Learned

This project helped me learn more about how my own country, El Salvador uses technology to its advantage. I learned about the digital divide between the urban and rural areas and how it's easier for individuals living in urban areas to have access to the internet compared to those who live in rural areas. For this project my partner helped by giving me ideas of what information to add to our presentation when I was unsure. We worked together to choose how to design our presentation as well and what type of information we thought was more important to talk about.
