Sick leave
If you are unwell, have an appointment or need to take a day off, please contact ELE via mobile before 8am of the day you are not in school. Having said that, if you could let ELE know at least 12 hrs in advance that would be fantastic. If you are not onsite for 3 days or more due to health reasons, please email or send me your medical certificate.
Holiday
On public holidays, you are not to work on any school materials even if it is from home. We want to respect your leave as much as possible with all the work you do for our students and school. However, if you are planning any holidays during your working hours, you must let ELE know at least 1 week in advance either by phone, person or SCHOOL email so that we can get the necessary paperwork completed and signed off by Carol to ensure you have pay with leave instead of unpaid leave.
Cellphones
Please ensure that you are reachable via mobile phone by ELE so that you can be contacted for interpreting services during the day. Again, this may be during classtime. As cellphone use is banned by the government now in schools, any personal use of cellphones is prohibited. However, if there is an emergency eg. you have to pick up your child because she/he is sick and must go home, that is prefectly fine. Other than that, it will be mostly ELE corresponding with you during the day.
Devices
The school will not be issuing you a Pakuranga College school device due to the fact that you are not a teaching staff. However, when it comes to admin or mentoring, please sign in with your KAMAR credentials and ensure to sign out at when you are finished with the device. Devices are located in V1L.
