FAQs
That is a great question. One that is tailored to the individual. There are various health benefits to doing 'athletic' workouts such as increased cardiovascular health, functional mobility & flexibility, and body control and awareness. I choose to mix in 'athletic' lifting such as Olympic-style lifts because they are very complex movements that require lots of skill and body awareness to be able to perform. They give me both physiological adaptations as well as psychological benefits, or in other words a sense of accomplishment.
