Project Description

In this project, I found different samples of media from the creative commons website and find liceneses for them.

I found this JPG, searching up ''cancun'' in the creative common website search engine.

I downloaded this image from flickr and I uplaoded the medium size version to my website.

This image is shared under CC BY-SA DEED which means that I am allowed to copy and redistribute the material in any medium format for any purpose, even commercially.

Also we can remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

But, it must be under these guidelines.

Attribution — You must give appropriate credit , provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made . You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

Audio Sample- Embedded Audio

Above is one of my favorite songs.

I went through creative commons and searched up peso pluma on the search engine for soundcloud. I was able to embed the link with code it gave me so once I uploaded it to my website.

I really did not find the licenses for the song soundcloud but if I could upload it as long as I cited where I got it from.

Animation Sample - Animated GIF

The flying blue bird is an example of an animated gif that I found Devianart

Again I could not find any licensening content. I saved the animated gif from devianart and from there I uploaded it to my website.

I will source the place where I got it from.

Embedded Youtube Video

This is an embedded video coming from Youtube

This Youtube video is showing a compilation of Babe Ruths highlights when he played in the 1920's and 30's. Most of it is him hitting home runs which all time in his career he has 714.

I used the embedded youtube code and uploaded it to my website but again there no sign of licenses to be seen on the video.

So I searched up what Youtube's policy is,

According to YouTube's policy

''You may access and use the Service as made available to you, as long as you comply with this Agreement and applicable law. You may view or listen to Content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may also show YouTube videos through the embeddable YouTube player.''

Lessons Learned

I learned how to embed and download audio for the first time. Managing files and trying to find licenses to certain links can be a little difficult and can seem like alot of information. But none the less I had fun finding my GIF and putting everything together for my website.
