Cheats are small easter eggs that you can find by searching in ErickOS folders, modifying/creating files with specific names and folders, or pressing some key/combination somewhere or in the system or anywhere.
This shortcut can be activated anywhere (except in IMDOS or UEFI). Pressing this key combination will open Notes And Code in terminal mode (this has been the case since the development of ErickOS and this shortcut can even be used during boot).
This is used to modify installation files before they are overwritten (for example /ErickOS/Users/Default.zip).
This shortcut can only be activated on the desktop, in the recovery options, during installation, if Notes and Code is open anywhere or if the _WindowAllow? variable of the source code is set to true, this keyboard shortcut opens/closes the ErickOS file explorer, this can be used to modify files in the installation
Main article: Recovery Tools
Pressing the control key during boot will open the recovery tool
Main article: register.app
The register.app file (/ErickOS/system/register.app) is a non-existent default file that can be created to run code before the system goes to the login screen.
These are icons that can technically be added to the ErickOS taskbar but they have no use, these are:
store
.txt file
.app file
audio (cancelled)
internet
This easter egg is made by adding the "oobe" access to the taskbar, which in older versions had no icon and was only the .app file icon. When you open it, the oobe application opens.
This shortcut when activated in the oobe ErickOS will restart in audit mode
This shortcut when activated anywhere will download a .eso of the current ErickOS installation
