LEGTA Xavier Bernard at Venours (ROUILLE) is located at 30 kms away from Poitiers in the south west part of France. Our agricultural school includes around 330 students and 40 teachers. Our students, who are aged from 15 to 21, can both prepare general and vocational diplomas.

First they can choose among A-Levels specialized in sciences, ecology, tillage or production studies. We also have a European section for the pupils who prepare their A-Levels in Sciences. They attend Mathematics lessons in English.

After their A-Levels, our 50-60 students prepare a Higher National Diploma specialized in tillage studies, farm management or agribusiness studies.

Our School also offers short training courses in addition to our full and part time programs (apprenticeship) at all levels.

The lessons taught are both technical (environmental studies, landscape planning, agronomy, animal husbandry, farm management…) and general (math, sciences, economics, History and Geography, foreign languages (English, Spanish and German).

Our school’s farm is composed of 94 ha (growing crops and grass), 120 milk cows (600 000l/year), pheasants and partridges.

As our boarding school is located in the countryside, many sport and club activities are offered to learners both during their sociocultural lessons and their free time.
