ERASMUS+ PROJECT 2024-1-PT01-KA220-SCH-000248194
On a society full of challenges, schools are trying to figure out where the future is taking us. Artificial inteligence, coding, robotics, augmented and virtual reality are, for most of our students, too far to know, to understand and to apply. On the other hand, cultural awareness of european diversity and the richness of literature and languages should be not forgoten as a value of the humanist Europe. So, this project pretends to accomplish 3 objectives:
-To promote inclusion and diversity improving the outreach to people with fewer opportunities, including people with disabilities and people with a migrant background (Portugal, French Guiana), as well as people living in rural and remote areas such as outermost regions (French Guiana), people facing gender inequalities, socio-economic difficulties (Turkey) or any other potential source of discrimination based on sex, racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation.
- To address digital transformation through development of digital readiness, resilience and capacity to manage an effective shift including the development of digital pedagogy and expertise in the use of digital tools for teachers, including accessible and assistive technologies and the creation and innovative use of digital education content for students, mainly for girls on the field of STEM.
- To promote common EU values, civic engagement and participation to foster the development of social and intercultural competences, critical thinking and media literacy whithin the principles of unity and diversity, as well as their cultural identity, cultural awareness and their social and historical heritage.
Augmented EU will work with 5 countries with different profiles where we can find diversity: One outermost region (French Guiana), Iceland, East (Portugal) and West Europe (Turkey) and Germany as an innovative country on the field of technology and digital contents. A portuguese new commer that works with children and students on the area of coding and robotics and can be an added value on this partnership.
We pretend to promote courses for teachers and students (between 14-17 years old) about coding, robotics, virtual reality, augmented reality and to produce during lessons works about their culture, local legends, literature and language. Virtual and real mobilities will happen for students and teachers and products will be presented on exhibitions and presentations to their peers and will be used by the school by other students on the future. The creation of the Website with all the resorces as courses, lessons plans, virtual and digital products will be created by students. We pretend to involve girls, migrants and low socio-economic students on this digital literacy. Knowledge, skills and competences will be promoted to ensure a better understanding of the future challenges.
It will have a great impact on students and teachers because they will learn to face challenges and it is an opportunity to put hands on the work with supervised tasks improving the quality of teaching in every participant school.
