The trigger for this, the first of a series of Research Notes to be published by Equality Here, Now, was in a reading of a Mainstreaming Equality Report published by Highland Council and where a nugget of prose leapt off the page and triggered a set of images more usually associated with the after effects of the consumption of Class A drugs :

People with disabilities are less satisfied with burials and cremation services

This prompted a brief examination of how public sector bodies were dealing with Complaints and to what extent equality figured in the practices and cultures of Complaints. The findings from that brief research is published in this Research Note.
