10th December 2025: Yorkshire Water have lifted the hosepipe ban that has been in force across Yorkshire (including Epworth) since July 2025. Details here.
Epworth Town Council has recently launched a petition calling on North Lincolnshire Council to undertake a Community Governance Review, with the aim of increasing the number of Councillors on Epworth Town Council. Councillors at Town and Parish level are unpaid and they devote a lot of time to improving their area in which we all live.
An outbreak of Avian Influenza was confirmed just outside of Gainsborough on the 23rd of November 2025 (AIV 2025/110), further outbreaks were confirmed on 28th of November 2025 (AIV 2025/115) and the 5th of December 2025 (AIV 2025/121).
3km Protection Zones were established immediately, as well as a 10km Surveillance Zones - parts of the Epworth parish are included within the 10Km Surveillance Zone. You can read the official declarations here, here and here.
