Beginning of College
It was the first day of freshman year and I knew that I had a long four years ahead of me. I was coming in with another freshman and his name was Rama. He was from a different country so I really didn't know very much about him. Rama was the perfect size for a golfer as his frame was tailored to be great. He was six foot one and weighed about 190 pounds straight muscle. He looked like a warrior golfer ready to go to battle whenever he got to the golf course. The most that I knew about Rama was that he was a very good player that would help our team a lot because of his talent as a golfer and his will to win at whatever the cost was. Rama was originally known around the country because of how he got very famous from a viral trick shot video that made many girls from all over very infatuated with him. This is how Rama met his current girlfriend, Sita. She was a beautiful girl and they both loved each other very much. There is much more to this story that will be told at another time. They loved each other so much that it eventually got each other in trouble.
Around the same time that Rama and I came into college there was another freshman just enrolling into classes at the rival college down south. His name was Ravana, and he and Rama were known to have a very tense rivalry. While this rivalry will not kick up till later in each other's college careers, the groundwork was laid early on with the colleges they both attended.
Rama was known for getting what he wanted and this will be a steady theme throughout the story and his college career. Rama just had a magic touch about him and you could feel it by his ability to win in tough times. Rama had the ability to lock into a zone where nothing would distract him from his goal when the pressure was on. When you are the best, a lot of people want to bring you down and this was a common theme for Rama. While we teammates wanted each other to succeed there were others teams that loved to see us fail. The hardest part for Rama being in college was his constant trips away from home that he had to spend away from Sita as he did not want any days away from his precious girlfriend. Rama loved his time at OU but their was two things he was not a fan of: his rival, Ravana, at Texas and time spent away from Sita.
This was just the beginning of Rama and me as we would have many great stories of our time together but it was the culmination of our senior year that made these days the best days of our lives. I got a front row experience to watch Rama as his best friend on the team all four years. That is why I wanted to tell the stories about the greatest warrior the University of Oklahoma has ever seen.

Author's Note: I wrote this first story as the set up that will continue to build for the semester. I tried to talk about how we came in at the same time to set up our story together. The viral video was meant to show how Rama drew the special bow and won over Sita. I wanted to add this part of the story to my storybook but still make it seem more modern and trick shot videos are popular on YouTube and social median accounts like Twitter. This was how I wanted to show that Rama was the man he was in the epics and still keep his relationship with Sita. I will move forward with the relationship with Sita and keep her in the loop but I wanted to start this first story with Rama as the main point to the first story. I hope to expand the Sita part in this next part of the story telling that way people will understand how Sita and Rama are a true couple and not just got together because of a YouTube video. I also added a bit at the end where I am Rama's best friend in all of this story and I can tell his story from a first hand experience just as if Lakshmana was telling a story about Rama's life.
