The Partnership for Southern Equity engaged in a 14-month, stakeholder-driven process to develop the EGISP. The following page highlights key aspects of that process.

2018

National League of Cities recruits City of East Point to take part in the Cities of Opportunity initiative.

2019

Cities of Opportunity Resolution - City declares support to “identify, design, and champion strategies to embed social justice and equity throughout the City of East Point’s programs, policies and practices.”

East Point contracts with the Partnership for Southern Equity in a year-and-a-half-long process to develop Equitable Growth & Inclusion Strategic Plan.

PSE team conducts preliminary research and adjusts strategy in light of global pandemic.


Preliminary Baseline Findings & Equity Policy Report submitted to Mayor, Council, and staff.
