Tips: How to make learning your facts seem less overwhelming.
Sometimes it is hard to learn all your multiplication facts. It's great if you can learn some of them easily and use those to find the ones that are more difficult for you. I always struggled with 7's but could get my 6's fairly easily.
I knew that if I had to find 7 x 8 and I couldn't remember, I could use 6 x 8 to help me.
Think 6 x 8 means SIX groups with EIGHT in each group. 6 x 8 = 48.
So, 7 x 8 means SEVEN groups with EIGHT in each group. So it's one more group of EIGHT, right? I do 48 + 8 = 56, which means that 7 x 8 = 56.
It may take a bit longer, and skip counting may be easier for you, but you really need to find a way to get to the answers of your multiplication facts fairly quickly. Keep practicing! Some will be easier than others but we'll keep working. You'll get there!
