Interactivity - 2018
In 2018, for "I, Robot", Entheos is expanding from 18 hours of interactivity daily to 24 hour interactivity that is open and available to the entire Burning Man community (where age appropriate). During our camp's five day winter retreat (which we hold annually), we reflected upon the "I, Robot" art theme and considered how we were inspired to engage with that theme. Ideas of building interactive robots quickly fell away as we more deeply explored how the growing influence of technology is giving rise to a technocratic society that is cataloged, managed and influenced through a stream of calculated inputs to achieve desired outputs. The commodification of the default world by governments and corporations treats us as though "we" are just one more computer, responding to a program; if they provide the right inputs, we will give them their desired outputs. In resistance to this societal trend, we are responding to the "I, Robot" art theme by inviting participants to consider what it would be to incarnate a different conception by embracing the idea of "I, Am." You, your voice, your true voice, is what the universe yearns to hear.
Entheos strives to balance its interactivity amongst body, mind and spirit, with a common theme of enthusiastic, playful participation. We divide the day and the night between offerings that are structured, educational and intellectually collaborative (daytime) and offerings that are fluid, celebratory and creative (nighttime). Below you can read about what we have planned for this year, along with a schedule of events.
Interactivity Open to the Public
Entheos Workshop and Speaker Series (Noon daily)
Each year, Entheos hosts speakers and workshops presenting on the historical, cultural, contemporary and scientific use of entheogenic medicines for treatment, healing, awareness, self-discovery and creativity. We bring together practitioners from the rich shamanic tradition of entheogenic spirit journey work and create a dialog with the scientific/medical community that is presently conducting FDA-approved research studies for the treatment of such conditions as depression and PTSD.
TRAMPOLINE SPORTS ARENA (24/7)
Last year Entheos built and operated a 44'x28', seven bed, trampoline dodgeball court surrounded by 100 IBC-water cubes that were lit with DMX-controlled lighting. It was truly awesome, but it pales to what we are building this year. We are adding on a total of 12 new 45 degree angle trampoline walls as a bowl around last year's trampoline to create a trampoline play arena. That's right, you will literally be able to bounce off the walls. The expanded trampoline arena will measure 60' long by 44' wide and will stand 13' tall. We are wrapping the entire complex in a white, opaque stretch material so we can light it with rear projection and DMX-controlled lighting for a visually stunning arena. The Trampoline Arena is staffed 24 hours a day with changing activities such as: Kids First Morning Jump, Trampoline Dodgeball, Acrobatic performances, Trampoline Dance Parties, and late night chill.
TEMPLE OF ENTHEOS (24/7)
Entheos has designed and is building a temple based on the sacred geometry of Metatron's Cube as a gift to share on Playa. Standing over 24' tall, the Temple of Entheos will host a broad range of communal and sacred activities: Tai Chi, yoga, sound healing, meditation, chanting, drum circles, prayer, intentional ceremonies and joyful celebrations. We are tremendously excited to bring the gift of this space to playa. Each night, timed with sunset, there will be live Kirtan chanting and music with dancing around the Temple before heading off into the night.

Dance your way across the stage with your best sexy samba to earn a cool, refreshing drink as your reward (21+ for alcohol).
ENTHEOS BAZAAR (10am to 10pm daily)
For the last couple of years Entheos has operated a 400sqf clothing and makeup Boutique on Playa. This year we are expanding to a 1,600sqf Bazaar. The Entheos Bazaar is an interactive and welcoming space for all of Black Rock City's citizens, synonymous to a warm, vibrant and slightly chaotic place where a curious soul would find many treasures, and will embark on a journey of Radical Self-expression, sensorial discovery and fun encounters. This Bedouin-style space will offer a variety of gifts from Entheos, enticing visitors to explore the depth of the tent and allow the care of their souls and beauty to rest in the hands of others. The Bazaar offers mainly 6 gifts: The Boutique (Outfits and accessories for a new look); The Makeup Station (Entheos make-up artists accent your beauty); The Tattoo Parlour (Resident artists offer a temporary gift); The Olfactive Journey (experience new scents and make your favorite to keep); The Desertic Sounds (Daily music offerings from DJs and live performers); and Guest Activities (drop-in offerings like Tarot cards, manicures and tea ceremonies).Sexy Barista Party on Fire
Our sexy baristas will serve up hot and cold coffee with your favorite cordials while you dance to deep beats with our fire flow dancers (21+ for alcohol).

Come to the second floor of the stage truck for a cocktail as we watch the sun set and turn up the night (21+ for alcohol).
Food Gifting
Entheos will host a food gifting event for 100+ people every evening (example, bacon-wrapped corn dogs), Monday through Friday, and three additional surprise pop-up food gifting events at random, unannounced times.
