🌸In March 2016, Mozart’s Oboe Quartet drifted through the museum lobby....
From that moment, a quiet journey began — now in its tenth year.
Ensemble Blumentöne has since nurtured its sound, drawing on classical repertoire for chamber music and chamber orchestra.

We are delighted to announce that our 'Autumn Chamber Music Concert 2026' was a great success.
This year, we welcomed two new ensembles, bringing the total number of participating groups to a record high of ten. All performers put their hearts into preparing for the concert, delivering a rich and diverse program filled with passion and individuality.
Date & Time: Sunday, October 25, 2026, 13:00–16:00
Venue: Suginami Public Hall, Small Hall
Part 1: Began with a splendid opening by a horn duet, followed by a diverse selection of chamber music, including a violin duet and a piano trio.
Part 2: The performances grew in scale—ranging from woodwind ensembles to string quartets, piano quintets, and nonets. Featuring a wide repertoire from French, German, and Czech composers, the venue was filled with rich, resonant sounds.
Part 3: Featured a series of profound and passionate masterpieces, including Schubert’s Death and the Maiden, Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 4, and Schumann’s Piano Quintet, bringing the concert to a spectacular finale.
Despite the rain forecast, we were thrilled to welcome over 100 guests. We received many warm compliments, including one attendee who noted, "It's hard to believe this was an amateur performance."
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended, all the performers, and everyone who supported the event.

We invite you to an autumn afternoon of chamber music in Ogikubo, featuring a wide range of ensembles with strings, winds, and piano.
The program spans classical, Romantic, and modern works, offering a rich palette of colors shaped by changing instrument combinations and musical dialogues.
Gentle shifts of timbre and the interplay among instruments will fill the Small Hall with a warm, seasonal atmosphere.
The program is designed to be welcoming even for first‑time visitors, allowing everyone to enjoy the intimacy and variety of chamber music.

The ensemble was founded in March 2016 as a quartet of oboe and strings for a lobby concert at a corporate art museum.
As new members joined, our activities gradually expanded to include string quartets and other chamber works, leading to our first “Spring Concert” at Yotsuya Civic Hall in May 2017.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, we resumed our activities in spring 2022.
We began presenting concerts in a small “music festival” style, featuring Mozart’s concertos and symphonies with chamber orchestra.
In the autumn of the same year, we held a chamber music concert at the Azabu Community Centre Hall.
We now focus on two regular concerts each year — in spring and autumn — as we continue to enrich our musical activities.
For this year’s spring concert, we are honored to welcome Mr. Kenichi Furube, one of Japan’s leading oboists and conductors, as we aim for further artistic growth.
“Blumentöne” is a coined German word meaning “melodies of blooming flowers.”
Just like the flowers that flourish in each season, we hope to bring beautiful music to your hearts.
