Enrichment Week Registration Form is Now Live
The Cosmetology Enrichment Cluster was designed to provide students with a structured, hands-on learning experience aligned with Career and Technical Education (CTE) competencies and college and career readiness standards. Throughout the enrichment cycle, students engaged in experiential learning activities focused on foundational and advanced cosmetology techniques, including hair color application, quick weave installations, sew-ins, closures, glue-in extensions, hair cutting, and hair styling.
Instruction was delivered through a combination of teacher modeling, guided practice, and collaborative learning opportunities, allowing students to develop technical proficiency while applying industry-standard practices. Emphasis was placed on safety, sanitation, tool management, and professional conduct to mirror real-world cosmetology environments.
Students demonstrated engagement through active participation, peer collaboration, and the completion of practical tasks that required both creativity and precision. The learning process supported skill-building in problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication, while also fostering self-expression and confidence.
This enrichment experience provided students with exposure to cosmetology as a viable career pathway, reinforcing transferable skills such as responsibility, time management, and professionalism. By the conclusion of the cluster, students were able to showcase their learning through completed styles and techniques that reflected both their technical growth and understanding of industry expectations.
