Class Descriptions
Lyrical/Free Movement - A relaxed style dance class that combines ballet, jazz and creative movement
Pre Primary - A structured ballet class aimed at 5 year olds usually in Kindergarten in school.
Primary - A structured ballet class aimed at 6 year olds usually in year 1 at school
Grade 1 - A structured ballet class aimed at 7 year olds usually in year 2 - 3 at school
Exam classes - Character - Character Dance is based on European national and folk dance traditions and styles. In classical Ballets, Character Dance is usually used to depict large scenes of gatherings, royal parties or festivals. More often than not, it can be a really joyous and celebratory part of a Ballet and is often rather lively From grade 1 children begin to learn these styles and are examined on them.
Exam Dances - Each ballet exam has a set dance or 2 to learn to perform for the exam. This class is dedicated to training the steps in the dance specifically and learning the routine.
Adult Ballet - A ballet class designed for the adult dancer
