Why choose qualified dance teachers?
Qualified teachers have had years of dance training, been put through a series of courses and examinations for in depth knowledge of the relevant dance syllabus they are specializing in.
Good organizations know what types of training work are effective and safe with regard to training students which teachers can in turn relate this to their pupils and teach to the highest of standards.
Qualified teachers are expected to attend regular courses to keep updated.
In order to stay registered and qualified, teachers are required to pay subs each year to the relevant dance organization, and in turn are permitted to teach the relevant syllabus and enter their students for examinations.
Being taught by unqualified teachers could be detrimental to a serious dance student who wants to make something out of their dancing in the future as many bad habits could be formed that could take years to fix.
Not to mention that the student could sustain long term injuries that are related to incorrect technique due to bad training methods.
Choosing the correct dance instructor is a very important factor when joining a new studio or enrolling your child, and could make the world of difference to your dance experience.
En Pointe Academy of Dance have long term and short term goals, learning outcomes and lesson plans to hit certain markers over the term/course and each month builds on another month which adds value to the program/course as a whole.
Each class isn't a stand alone class and each month isn't a stand alone month.
If a student misses a month, then attaining these goals will slow down that progress significantly- so in a certain month, if a student can only attend 2 classes, although that´s not ideal- it is still better that they attend the 1 or 2 (as many classes as they can) rather than not attend any classes at all because it will keep them moving forward in the curriculum and on the correct track to progress in the short term and long term. We notice the greatest progression in our students who didn´t miss a month, even if they couldn't attend all classes.
We encourage students- even if they cannot attend ALL classes- To come to as many as possible.
