Dance Uniform Requirements

At En Pointe Academy of Dance, we ask that students wear the required uniform for each class starting from day one.

New students may wear any color dancewear until they decide on their class commitment. However, once registered, students must wear the full uniform beginning the following month.

Our Academy color is purple, and we are happy for students to choose any shade of purple for their uniform.

Ballet

Girls:

• Purple leotard (Baby Ballet, Pre-Primary/Primary students: Purple or lilac leotard with an attached skirt)
  
  

• Pink tights (Convertible tights are recommended for comfort; ballet socks may be worn instead of tights for Kids/Junior classes)
  
  

• Pink ballet slippers (Full sole)
  
  

• Hair should be styled in a neat ballet bun
  
  

• Optional: Short ballet skirt, ballet wrap, or cardigan
  
  

• As needed: A skin-tone or closest possible color sports bra (Regular bras or branded sports bras should NOT be worn)
  
  

Adult/Senior Ballet:

• Comfortable, form-fitting clothing (purple is advised)
  
  

• Hair should be neatly tied back
  
  

• Bare feet, ballet slippers, or socks
  
  

Boys:

• White fitted t-shirt
  
  

• Black tights
  
  

• Black socks
  
  

• Black canvas ballet slippers (Full sole)
  
  

• Long hair must be tied back in a low ponytail
  
  

Jazz/Contemporary/Tap

• Purple fitted t-shirt or leotard
  
  

• Black leggings, jazz pants, or black shorts
  
  

• Jazz shoes or foot thongs for Jazz class
  
  

• Tap shoes for Tap class
  
  

Fit Classes

• Comfortable, gym-appropriate clothing
  
  

• No baggy pants or tops
  
  

• Bare feet, socks, or ballet slippers
  
  

Additional Notes:

• Please ensure that all dance attire is labeled with your name, especially shoes.
  
  

• Uniform Compliance:
  
  

  • First time: Students will receive a reminder if not in proper uniform.
    
    

  • Second time: A parent/guardian will be contacted to bring the correct uniform.
    
    

  • Third time: The student will not be allowed to participate in class.
    
    

• Hair: Students must have their hair back for class, with neat ballet buns required for ballet classes.
  
  

• Punctuality: Students arriving more than 10 minutes late may be asked to sit out of class.
