Rationale

Our reason for the module that we made!

The lesson plans in this learning module are based on skills that should be mastered by students, which are comprehending skills and producing skills. As those skills are the indicators of students’ learning results, we tried to provide some materials that will foster students’ comprehension and production skills. The main purpose of our module is to make students enjoy learning English because English class should be fun and enjoyable however students are still able to improve their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

We compile our learning materials not without unclear reasons. These are some reasons why we set our goals:

1.       Make students enjoy the learning process through collaborative learning with their classmates.

• Through group projects and outdoor study, students will gain experiences and friendships with their friends.

2.       Make students get a real image of how to speak with foreigners directly.

• Experience is the best source of learning. Through this lesson, students are expected to learn from the real environment by observing some places that interest tourists so it will not be hard for them to speak spontaneously on some topics.

3.       They will show their results of learning for one semester

• Students will ensure what they have learned for one semester through the final project.

4.       Make them confident in speaking

• To make students acquire confidence in speaking English, teachers should use the English language in daily conversations with the students.
