Final Project (Group Project)
Consulting a Podcast
This meeting will use to consulting student's draft
Students will start to record their own podcast
The goal here is to make students show their confidence and understanding of the topic
After last week was dedicated to forming groups and creating drafts, this week the students are expected to consult their drafts. The teacher will evaluate and provide feedback if there are any aspects that may not align with the learning goals for the semester.
For students who have completed the consultation stage, those who are ready to record their podcasts are permitted to leave the classroom. Students will commence producing their own podcasts individually outside of the class setting. This asynchronous production activity does not necessitate expensive equipment as students are expected to utilize their own devices such as their smartphones.
For student groups who are not ready in today's meeting, it will be continued in the next meeting.
Instruction for making the podcast
Hi Everyone, I hope that you enjoy our semester together.
Now you will start trying to apply what you have learned during the last semester. By producing this podcast, you will learn to have the courage to speak English with your friends. There are several things you need to pay attention to in making this podcast.
Some of them are:
1. Make an outline (consisting of a theme, script, goals, and target audience)
2. The theme of the podcast is the material that you have learned in previous meetings. (Narrative, Expository, Report text, and listening material)
3. Making a script is important to guide your podcast in the right way.
4. Discuss with your friends about the ‘genre’ of your podcast (serious talk, satyr, comedy, or criticism)
5. Record your podcast properly. Even with minimalist tools, you need to pay attention to the composition of your result. (Video or Audio)
6. Last but the most important is to KEEP PRACTICING!
7. You need a lot of practice with your friends and do it over and over again. Until you mastered the material of your podcast
GOOD LUCK!
