The number *6552 is the national service of the Ministry of Education. It provides support, information, and assistance for teachers, schools and parents.
This lesson plan template is designed to help every learner succeed.
It is based on Curriculum 2020 and supports social-emotional learning, differentiation, and inclusive teaching practices.
Inside the document, you will also find a Lesson Plan Checklist to ensure that all learners’ needs — academic, social, and emotional — are addressed.
We encourage teachers to adapt the template to their class context and use it as a planning tool that helps us move toward our shared goal: seeing every learner and helping every learner learn.
Our district offers a wide range of PD opportunities to support English teachers at every stage of their journey. These PD programs focus on meaningful classroom practice, equitable teaching, and improving student outcomes across all bands and grade levels.
Why take PD courses?
Professional development helps teachers stay updated with new teaching methods, deepen their pedagogical knowledge, respond to changing classroom needs, and provide richer, more meaningful learning experiences. PD also supports professional growth and promotion within the salary frameworks.
Building Blocks is a national English Inspectorate program that supports teachers in developing students’ core reading and literacy skills. Teachers who choose to join the national PD program learn practical strategies for teaching reading and supporting struggling learners, and they also gain access to classroom tools and guidance.
The Building Blocks website includes diagnostic tests, teachers’ guides, clips for teachers and students, and a rich collection of digital and classroom resources for effective reading instruction.
