Class Activities 

Three Units: ✏️

• Unit 1:  Resilience in Our Academic, Personal, and Professional Journeys

• Unit 2:   Changemaker in Our Career Field or Communities Research Paper 

• Unit 3:  Creative Project on Resilience

Discussion Boards: There will be a discussion board due most weeks. The discussions will be relevant to the topic of the writing project we are currently working on. In order to receive full credit for the discussion, you will need to develop your original response of at least 250 words plus a minimum of two responses to your classmates, each at least 100 words long. 

Journals: The journals are designed as a self-reflective personal journey.

Quizzes: The quizzes will assess your understanding of the assigned readings. 

Essays: Essays vary in length from 4 to 7 pages each, with 12-point font, MLA documentation, and 1-inch margins. These writing assignments will be generated from class readings and discussions and will require integrating sources into your writing.  

The Writing Process: For each essay, you will be asked to submit stages of the writing process, including pre-writing, drafts, peer reviews, editing and revision, and reflection. 

Final Essay Exam:  The final essay for our class will be a timed pro/con argumentative essay.
