Specification
Specification
The specification is the main design document that determines the composition of the assembly unit, complex, set. According to GOST 2.108-68, the specification is performed on A4 sheets in form 1 (first sheet, Figure 6.2.1) and 1A (subsequent sheets). In the first case, the main inscription is performed in form 2 (Figure 6.2.2), and in the second - in form 2a (Figure 6.2.3) and without applying additional graphs.

Figure 6.2.1
The specification consists of sections, which are placed in the following sequence: documentation, complexes, assembly units, parts, standard products, other products, materials, kits. The presence of certain sections depends on the composition of the product.
The name of each section is entered in the “Name” column and underlined with a solid thin line. A free line is left below each heading, and at the end of each section – at least one line for possible additional entries. The width of the lines is at least 8 mm.
The content of each section (according to the training drawings, see Figure 5).
Documentation – the main set of CD (assembly drawing and structural diagram – division of the product into component parts).
Assembly units – assembly units that are part of the specified product
Details – parts that are directly part of the product (i.e. those that are not part of the assembly units entered above). The recording of assembly units and parts is carried out in ascending order of the digits included in their designation.
Standard products - products used according to interstate, state, industry standards and enterprise standards (for auxiliary production products). Within each category of standards, the recording is carried out by groups of products that are combined by functional purpose (rolling bearings, fasteners, etc.), within each group - in alphabetical order of names (for example, bolts, screws, nuts, studs, cotter pins), within each name - in ascending order of standard designations, and within each designation - in ascending order of main parameters or dimensions, for example, diameter, length.
Materials - materials that are directly included in the specified product (i.e. those that are not included in the assembly units of the product). They are recorded in the following sequence: ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, wires, cords, plastics, etc. (see GOST 2.108-68). Within each type, materials are recorded in alphabetical order, and within each designation - in ascending order of size or other parameters. Materials whose quantity cannot be determined by the designer (for example, varnishes, paints, glue, solder, etc.) are not recorded. Their quantity in such cases is determined by the technologist.
If the material designation does not fit on one line, then it occupies two lines. In this case, the serial number according to the specification (position) is recorded on one line with the beginning of the designation.
In the column “Format”, document formats are recorded, the designations of which are recorded in the column “Designation”. If the document is made on several sheets, then an “asterisk” is placed in the column, and in the column “Note” all formats are listed in order of their increase (if they are different). The same is done when using additional formats according to GOST 2.301-68 (for example, A4x2). For parts for which drawings are not made, “BK” is written in the column.
In the column "Zone" write the designation of the zone in which the position number of the component part of the product is located (when dividing the drawing field into zones).
In the column "Designation" in the section "Documentation" write the designations of the documents that need to be recorded. In the sections "Assembly drawing" and "Details" write the designations of the main CDs. In the sections "Standard products" and "Materials" do not fill in the columns "Format" and "Designation".
In the column "Name" in the section "Documentation" write only the designations of the documents ("Assembly drawing", "Structural division diagram", "Technical conditions", etc.), in the sections "Assembly units" and "Details" - the designations of assembly units and parts in accordance with the main inscriptions on their drawings. For parts for which drawings have not been made (BK code), this column records the name, dimensions necessary for their manufacture, and materials.
In the sections “Standard products” and “Materials”, the name and designation are recorded in accordance with the standards for them. It is allowed to use entries according to the sample (with the indication of the item numbers):
Nuts GOST 5915-70
M12-6N.05
2M12x1.25-6N.12.40X.016
M14-6N.04.016, etc.
The names of assembly units and parts are recorded in the nominative singular, regardless of their quantity. At the same time, they should be as short as possible, preferably one-word. If the name consists of two words, then the noun is written in the first place, for example, “Union nut” (and not “Union nut”).
In the column "Quantity" write the quantity per product. In the section "Materials" write the total quantity of materials also per product, indicating the units of measurement (units of measurement can be written in the column "Note"). In the section "Documentation" do not fill in the column.
It is allowed to combine the specification with the assembly drawing, provided that they are placed on A4 sheets (for auxiliary production and single production products, it is allowed to combine the specification with the assembly drawing on sheets of any format). In this case, the specification is placed below the product image. Such a document is assigned the designation of the main CD (i.e., the code of the CD is not added to the designation).
