Week 7 Reflection

This week we covered more into digital fabrication. Working our way up through examples to get to a ultraviolet sensor that actuates a motor. I found this helpful that we began with a photoresistor as it give us the idea of what we're working with. The ultraviolet sensor detects the distance of an object which is quite interesting to see.

The idea is that we will use our learning to be able to design our own hand sanitizer bottle that uses the ultraviolet sensor to actuate the motor. This is interesting concept but how we can tie this into the automate hand sanitizer dispenser is no easy task. We need to figure out how to position the motor and the sensor onto the bottle. And how the motor will even drive down the bottle to dispense hand sanitizer.

I think there will be some difficulties with the servo motor as it is quite weak.
