Week 2 Reflection

This week we delved right into engineering. Asking ourselves what is engineering and it's relationship with everything else. Engineering as we learned being this activity of man and the application of mans abilities and knowledge applied to the natural world to receive an outcome. Now engineering is interesting in the way that I said receive an outcome just before this. What's unique about engineering is that there is no limits to the solutions. There maybe limits in the constraints but there are no limits in ones ability to produce a solution. And also that failure is a natural essence of engineering. Throughout history although we cannot 100% pin point. There have been times where engineering has provided an outcome that was one solution by chance. Due to many failed attempts to find a solution. The design process of engineering is not linear as we see on many charts. But a very dynamic and personal process that can depend on many variables.

I think that engineering is a very interesting part of humans trying to develop and design things to satisfy ones needs. We see this all the time around us, many of us maybe using the engineering process and not even know it.
