On November 14, 2020 I had my final interview with council and I was officially named a Gold Award Girl Scout!
On June 4, 2021 I had the privilege of holding my own person Gold Award Ceremony on the very blacktop that I painted for my project. I was surrounded by friends and family who helped me achieve my Gold Award. I was officially pinned by my Troop leader, Chris Keune. I was recognized by Ellington First Selectman Lori Spielman, Connecticut State Representative Jamie Foster, and Windermere School's Principal Jen Hill.
The Hartford Courant was also there to write an article about my accomplishment, you can read it here:
On June 6, 2021, I was recognized at the state-wide Girl Scout Gold Award Ceremony as a 2021 Gold Award recipient. I had a board on display detailing my project for other recipients to view! I was accompanied by my mom and my Girl Scout Leader on this very special day!
