- Authentic purpose- is what they are making real-world? Is there a way for it to be MORE realistic and non-hypothetical?
- Variety in products- what will show this content best?
- Student exposure to different media- sometimes requiring a certain product or piece of technology gives students the opportunity to learn something new
- Student choice in medium- how can you best show your ideas?
- Use of rubrics- which learning outcomes will be assessed? What is the most relevant form of assessment?
- Formal event- students take presentations more seriously if they are treated as formal, important events
