Entry Event and Document

• What is the problem or challenge?
• Who is the intended audience?
• Insight into the end goal/product/event/presentation
• In or in a complimentary document to the entry document:
  • Driving Question
    • Open-ended question about the big concepts or question(s) to be answered
    • Should be a compelling question for kids
  • Power standards and learning outcomes for this project
• Event: what can you have students do or experience to hook the students into the problem and concepts?
• Knows and Need to Knows- students identify what they already know (hold them accountable to using this) and what they need to know.
  • Can ask students to categorize whether each need to know is a "scaffolding", "workshop", "research", or "experiment" need. (There may be other categories.)
