I am an educational assistant for middle school ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) students. My career goals include obtaining my Texas teaching credential and working as an ESOL instructor in a K-12 classroom.
Through my time in the classroom as a Developmental English adjunct instructor at the community college level, as a K-12 substitute teacher, and as a volunteer for adult ESL classes, I discovered how much I enjoyed working with language learner students of all levels and supporting their academic growth.
In my previous roles as an online content editor, I worked on projects with cross-functional teams of developers, web designers, analysts, and marketing associates. I learned how to communicate clearly and effectively with multiple stakeholders and stay organized while juggling competing deadlines. Now, I’m building on my editorial background and passion for supporting language learners to create inclusive, student-centered environments that foster confidence, curiosity, and success.
I live in Austin, TX, with my husband, two children, and rescue pup. When I am not driving my kids to one of their extracurricular activities, I like to read and watch funny dog videos.
