4a: Reflecting on Teaching
Throughout my student teaching experience, I have had plenty of opportunities to reflect on my own teaching. I received feedback from my supervisors and cooperating teachers frequently. I always think deeply about my lessons and how I could make necessary improvements based on their feedback. I also monitored evidence of student learning by collecting artifacts that showcase their understanding. I use this evidence to reflect on my own instruction by thinking about what I did well, and also what I might need to do better next time.
4b: Growing and Developing Professionally
I truly enjoy attending professional development seminars and events. Things in the world of education are always changing, so keeping up to date on information is so helpful. During my student teaching semester, I attend weekly seminars and participate in professional development days. I also attend professional development meetings at my placements. It is interesting to be able to see how different schools approach professional development and to be able to participate in these practices.
