Grade 6, Language, Digital Media Literacy
Mentimeter
This mentimeter was created for grade 6 students to access Strand "A2. Digital Media Literacy demonstrate and apply the knowledge and skills needed to interact safely and responsibly in online environments, use digital and media tools to construct knowledge, and demonstrate learning as critical consumers and creators of media." This is a diagnostic form of assessment to look into what students already know about digital media literacy before going into any lessons. Within this mentimeter it uses word cloud so it shows a compilation of the students ideas to show what they already know and thier brainstorming ideas on what they think about digital media literacy.
Observation, conversation and product is essential to assessment.

Grade 3, Science and Technology, Relating Science and Technology to Our Changing World
Kahoot
This Kahoot was created as a gamified assessment to test grade three students on strand B1. Relating Science and Technology to Our Changing World, within the Ontario Curriculum stating that students will "assess ways in which plants are beneficial to society and the environment, and ways in which human activity has an impact on plants and plant habitats". This Kahoot is a formative assessment aiming to understand students knowledge on plants and their benefit to society. It can used as a tool within science instruction helping to inform how to continue further instruction.
Feedback is so important in assessment and this artifact highlights what to do when providing assessment for learning feedback.
Helps distinguish the differences between level grades and percent grades. Level grades are more important to student success and helped to not promote unhealthy competition.
