I have chosen to hike the Northen Grampians Peak Trail i will go at the end of Autumn to spring season so it will not be freezing cold but some nice weather. I will be leaving during september to November in spring so the weather will be quite nice. I will be camping at borough huts for 3 days and 2 nights, I will be taking a car as my transport. The price for a tent pad for a 3-day/2-night hike is $100.80 ($50.40 p/person for two people sharing). That's roughly $50 per night ($25 p/person if sharing) in camping fees for these unique, well-equipped hike-in campgrounds, since its me and an adult the full fee is $100.80. I will pack 1-2 literes of water per person and filling foods that are light to carry eg i will pack Mil-Spec Ration Packs (MRE) Meals Ready To Eat. These contain 1 of each of the following: breakfast, lunch, dinner, plastic spoon and antiseptic wipes, it also includes 3 different snacks, 3 condiments and 1 tea and 1 coffe. Mil-spec ration pack x2 + 1-2 litres of water p/person + 3-day/2-night hike = $192.3.
