I want to be the kind of therapist that wakes up every morning ready to give my patients my very best. I want to combine my passion, creativity, and knowledge of science to empower them and enable them to engage in meaningful occupation-based activities. I want to be able to give the best evidence-based treatment and make them feel heard and respected every step of the way. I want to be able to listen to them with intent and be mindful of everything they are saying. I want to be empathetic and compassionate towards them. I want to advocate for them when necessary and educate them on how to advocate for themselves. I hope that my future self constantly seeks answers by asking “why” for things that I do not understand. This will lead me to be better than the day before.
Down below you can will so some of my current and future endeavors. I am always looking to increase my knowledge and gain a wider understanding of the needs of my future patients.

Kathryn Ellis and her team are earnestly working towards this mission by filling the gap in sexuality related education and guidance for occupational therapy professionals through continuing education. These education services are used to enhance competency and confidence related to sexuality and intimacy.
