ObjeCtives
Early and Middle Career Researchers (EMCRs) on Social Networks group aims at bringing together researchers and PhD students to boost connectivity and share what it means to be in this stage of their careers while working with networks. This group provide the space to discuss themes and share ideas for taking individual actions and for identifying potential collective problem-solving solutions for the whole community.
ObjeCtives 2022
For the first year (2022), EMCRs had three main objectives:
1) Networking: Organise catch-ups and networking activities during other network's conferences that are specifically organised for early career researchers to get to know each other.
2) Workshops: Organise helpful workshops for EMCRs from EMCRs.
3) Community: Build a community around EMCRs on SN to make visible the different expertise of each participant (webpage and survey) and to rise EMCRs voice.
ObjeCtives 2023
For the second year (2023), EMCRs have several more overarching objectives:
1) Develop an internal "bylaws" to define common objectives and goals and to regulate the elections of council members and chairs.
2) Find some possible funding to promote the participation of EMCRs at conferences and/or to organise workshops for the whole community.
3) Create awards for EMCRs.
4) Start a dialogue with INSNA Board Committee as well as other Special Interest Group (SIG) like WiNS and Diversify.
