There has been a voluntary manufacturer’s recall involving the Goal Zero YETI 3000x Portable Power Station. Since 2021, nearly 600 people who receive regional center services were provided with the power station through the Disability Disaster Access and Resources Program, in consultation with the Department of Developmental Services. If you received one of the Goal Zero YETI 3000x Portable Power Stations, please read and take the following steps to prevent injury or fire hazard.

Goal Zero’s recall says the YETI 3000X Portable Power Station may overheat, posing a risk of serious burn injury and fire hazard. No injuries have been reported as a result of this fault. The recall notice also includes:

Follow the steps provided in the video and Goal Zero webpage below to update the firmware through the Goal Zero app. Steps include verifying the model of your power station and installing the app update.
