A reconsideration appeal is filed after receiving a denial from an initial application. You have 60 days plus 5 mailing days to file an appeal. Delaying the appeal process outside of this timeline may result in having to file a new application.

This process is similar to the initial application process.

If our office filed your initial application we will be notified of a denial. We will proceed by filing this appeal.

• If you have just recently been denied, contact our office today for an evaluation of your case. If you decide to move forward;

• The reconsider will be filed, usually the same day 

• We will answer any questions or concerns you may have at this point. 

• This process typically takes 3 to 6 months to receive a decision at this step.

• If you are denied at this step, the next step in the process is to file a Request for Hearing
