COSTS & FUNDING

Workshop fees are $500 (US funds) per participant. 

Payment is due by April 6th.

Applicants are expected to cover the costs of transportation, their own personal equipment, and any fees for visa applications.

There is one fully-funded PhD scholarship available, which covers workshop fees and travel to and from Bowdoin. To be considered for this scholarship, please indicate your interest on the application form.

Other Funding 

Participants are encourages to seek grants and funding opportunities in their jurisdiction to cover the workshop fee and travel expenses. 

We can provide a letter of invitation for such funding applications upon request.

This initiative is funded by a Canada Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Connection Grant with supporting donations from Bowdoin College, Dartmouth College (Latin American, Latino, and Caribbean Studies), The University of British Columbia (Dept. Asian Studies), University of Leeds (School of Media and Communications), The University of Massachusetts Amherst (Interdepartmental Program of Film Studies), University of Rochester (Dept. of English), and Wesleyan University

Facilities at Bowdoin College for the in-person workshop are subsidized by the above partnerships for all participants. Without this generous funding, this initiative would not be possible.
