Description
An interview project completed for ELRC 4249, in which I interviewed the Maintenance Training Manager at RBS to explore how my workplace was handling the conversion of instructor-led, in-person training activities into a mix of in-person, computer-based, and blended learning lessons. This report documents my findings from that interview.
Rationale
I chose this artifact based on the reflective nature of the interview. The individual interviewed was a leader in my department at the time and was one of the drivers for initiating many of the changes our group is making today. The results of this interview also provided a basis for many of the other choices I made for assignments and projects that were completed throughout the Education Technology program,
Alignment
Reflection on Practice - Candidates analyze and interpret data and artifacts and reflect on the effectiveness of the design, development and implementation of technology-supported instruction and learning to enhance their professional growth.
Description
In my experiential learning project from ELRC 7500, I synthesized a plan for technology transformation at my workplace. In this project, I focused my attention on the available technology and infrastructure in my facility, as well as the behaviors of leaders in my department. I identified several challenges within my organization, including accessibility / connectivity within our building, sustainable funding for upgrades or improvements, and underutilization of technology already available. I also identified some opportunities for expanding existing tech, and for professional development of the staff.
The action plan developed resulting from this experiential learning project focused on addressing the weaknesses and leveraging the opportunities that were identified through interviews with my peers and supervisors and several elements of the plan have already been put into place.
Rationale
This artifact demonstrates leading my peers in designing and implementing technology-supported learning through identification of areas for improvement concerning technology utilization. It was developed in collaboration with my peers and the site subject matter expert to reflect on current performance in the department and identify actions to improve moving forward.

Description
Inspired from the experiential learning assignment in ELRC 7500, this professional development plan was developed with diversity of experience among those who would participate in mind. It leverages the experience of the entire US nuclear power generation industry by including benchmarking and mentoring from subject matter experts on incorporating experiential learning into our daily practices at RBS. It is collaborative in that it uses peer observation and feedback of training activities to drive continuous improvement in our performance. Most of the activities identified were noted to be able to be performed through the effective use of technology, such as MS Teams and Webex, as well as in-person using both small group and individual activities.
Rationale
This artifact applies collaborative practice at both a local and industry level, and supports myself and my peers in designing and implementing technology supported learning that is aligned with our industry best-practices. It reflects on current performance and seeks to create a culture of continuous improvement.

Description
This assignment from ELRC 7535 focused on creating a rubric to evaluate student knowledge transfer on a Louisiana history lesson. The students' assignment was to create an infographic that depicts which current politicians would be supporters of Huey Long, which would oppose, and provide reasoning. This rubric was developed to provide consistent and accurate assessment of the students' infographic submissions.
Rationale
The rubric that was developed were based on the learning goals and instructional activities provided in that lesson.
Alignment
Assessing / Evaluating - Candidates design and implement assessment and evaluation plans that align with learning goals and instructional activities
