Description
The digital story utilizes video to introduce students to a fundamental aspect of electrical theory, Ohm's Law, and to a job aid/tool which is commonly used to analyze electrical circuits mathematically, known as the Power Wheel. The story combines several instructional approaches and pedagogical methods to accomplish its' instructional goals, including scaffolding when discussing the variables involved in ohms law and the power wheel and a rudimentary worked example for rearranging to solve for the different variables.

Description
Design document for a specialized systems qualification module on the Meteorological Monitoring System (MMS) instrumentation at RBS. This course builds on prior student learning, and the design ensures that while building independent knowledge of the content, students are encouraged to work together and build a strong community of learning to support one another during both performance of routine maintenance and during troubleshooting activities.
Rationale
This design document demonstrates my ability to apply and content pedagogy, as well as identify appropriate assessments to evaluate the implementation of the content. It identifies appropriate technological processes and resources to provide supportive learning communities, and creates a flexible and diverse learning environment.

Description
This distance education instructional design template was created for a professional development session that RBS training staff would participate in over a period of 4 days. It utilizes the ADDIE model of instructional design and builds upon existing knowledge and skills of the attendees. It considers the technology needs for implementation, such as an appropriate Learning Management System and applies a variety of instructional strategies such as collaborative learning, peer review and feedback, scaffolding, and segmenting.
Additionally, a graphic organizer was developed to outline the course implementation, which also details the activities, assignments, and assessments involved.
