Description
Technology Project Plan for modernizing/updating classroom hardware in the RBS training department. The plan identifies the needs, as well as necessary resources, costs, communications, and development activities for implementing the proposed changes.
The goal of the plan was to determine appropriate technologies to acquire or upgrade the classroom hardware in the maintenance training facilities, and to assess the necessary support and development activities to effectively integrate those technology solutions into daily training activities for the site.
Rationale
I chose the technology project plan because it demonstrates my ability to assess technology resources and processes to support the River Bend Station training activities. The goal of the plan was to determine appropriate technologies to acquire or upgrade the classroom hardware in the maintenance training facilities, and to assess the necessary support and development activities to effectively integrate those technology solutions into daily training activities for the site.
Alignment
Using - Candidates demonstrate the ability to select and use technological resources and processes to support student learning and to enhance their pedagogy.
Managing - Candidates demonstrate the ability to effectively manage people, processes, physical infrastructures, and financial resources to achieve predetermined goals.
Description
Design document for a specialized systems qualification module on the Meteorological Monitoring System (MMS) instrumentation at RBS. This course builds on prior student learning, and the design ensures that while building independent knowledge of the content, students are encouraged to work together and build a strong community of learning to support one another during both performance of routine maintenance and during troubleshooting activities.
Rationale
This design document demonstrates my ability to design and create instructional materials using a variety of systems approaches, including lecture, small and large group collaborative activities, and performance activities.
The design document identifies the various resources that will be necessary to accomplish the different activities, such as handouts, scenarios, and training mockups. It also assesses student performance using a variety of methodologies.

Description
This narrated presentation introduces learners to the Modality and Redundancy Principles associated with Richard Mayer's Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning. It was developed using an asynchronous format and is hosted on YouTube, which introduces a degree of independence to the learner and empowers them to control when, where, and how many times they view the presentation.
Rationale
This artifact demonstrates my ability to create instructional materials and learning environments using a variety of systems approaches, and to use technological resources that support student learning and enhance pedagogy.

Description
This proposal was developed to assess the effectiveness of a practice at River Bend Station which was implemented during our response to COVID-19, specifically the practice of performing management observations of training remotely via WebEx at River Bend Station. The practice was put into place as an attempt to ensure compliance with station procedure requirements for management observation of training activities while the number of attendees in a training session was limited.
Rationale
This artifact demonstrates my ability to plan assessments to evaluate the integration of technology regarding educational practices at my workplace. It demonstrates my ability to effectively manage processes and infrastructure and other resources through monitoring of and reflection on current practices at the station as compared to pre-defined objectives and criteria.
