ITALIAN TEAM
Davide Baglietto
Computer Science teacher, davide.baglietto@vieusseux.Imperia.it
I am a teacher of Computer Science with a degree in Telecommunications Engineering. I worked as a software programmer in ports dealing with programs for the management of the loading and unloading of goods and then since 2010 I have dedicated myself to the teaching profession. I am also a folk musician and researcher working in the field of traditional Ligurian and northern Italian music. I have recorded several albums, obtaining various international and national awards and playing in many festivals.
Emanuela Damonte
Foreign Languages teacher, emanuela.damonte@vieusseux.imperia.it
I have been teaching foreign languages for 10 years and I have been part of this school since 2018.I have always been interested into cultures and languages: my degree allows me to teach English, German and Spanish. I worked for several years on cruise ships as responsible of the management and I attended one gap year in Nottingham, studying at the Nottingham Trent university. The English teaching program at school focuses on the main grammar rules and the development of the four main skills (listening, reading, speaking, writing) for the first 2 years, while from the 3rd year to the 5th (and final) year students are taught literature from the origin (for example Beowulf or Chaucer) to the modern authors. Through flipped classroom, peer to peer strategy, cooperative learning, and frontal lessons, the aim is to provide the students an English B2 level with good skills in the communication area.
GREEK TEAM
Nikolaos Diamantopoulos
IT teacher, ndiaman@sch.gr
I am a PhD./Msc. Computer Engineer and I teach IT in a high school, at 1st Geniko Lykeio Aigiou in Greece. This is my 10th Erasmus+ project. In my free time I like playing football and basketball. ELMO project is a challenge for me to test new mobile learning activities and try to implement them in school. A trip around Europe and experiences in the way of life, in various education systems and in different cultures is an Erasmus+ advantage I would never miss. I feel nice when my students tell me that Erasmus helped them broaden their horizons, make new friends, learn new things and break out the routine of local school. I hope that I will manage to convince more teachers of my school to test the experience of Erasmus and get involved in ELMO activities.
Ilias Spanos
IT teacher, hliasspa@sch.gr
I teach ICT in 1o GEL Aigiou (upper high school). I studied informatics in Peiraeus University. Since 2000 I teach in schools, since 2009 in my current school. I am very keen on robotics and other new technologies and I am a Greek Scientix ambassador. I have participated in five other Erasmus+ KA2 project and I am absolutely convinced of the benefits of teachers’ and students’ exchanges!. In daily basis I enjoy go cycling with my two sons or go jogging with the company of my dog. Some weekends every year I manage to go hiking to some high Greek mountains or gorgeous canyons.
