There is no denying that a weekend in the bush with 4x4 and Land Rover enthusiasts make for a great weekend.
It was disappointing that we did not do the 4x4 trail over the mountains, however I think it was the right decision. Mike made up for this disappointment with the farm road tour to visit places we normally bypass when driving through this part of the world.
The OMD farm was a interesting place to visit and look at the old milling equipment. It's a pity there is not more information in the museum regarding the 1905 mill. While we enjoyed the camping, we would all have preferred the camp sites further up the mountain with dedicated ablusions and electrical points.
Regardless where you travel in Lesotho or in South African along the border, you will not find a spot where a Lesotho citizen will not appear demanding something within 5 minutes of stopping. I have travelled in many parts of Southern Africa and when you come accross local citizens in rural areas, they are friendly and welcoming, however this has not been my experience when coming across Lesotho citizens during this trip and 2 previous trips I have done in Lesotho. I have my theory about this and I think we are to blame for their attitude towards us.
