Introduction

I enjoyed my previous 4x4 trip with the Land Rover Owner Club (LROC) so much that I wanted to participate in another trip.  Being in the company of experienced 4x4 enthusiasts with great advice and knowledge regarding overland trips, Land Rover Defenders, maintenance and off roading provides for an entertaining weekend.

My friend, Mike, had organised this trip to the Old Mill Drift farm and we drove down in convoy.

The plan over the 4 days was:

Day 01: Pretoria to Old Mill Drift (OMD) near Clarens in the Orange Free State

Day 02: 4x4 trip along the Caledon river along the Lesotho Border

Day 03: Tour lalong Farm Road around Fouriesburg to visist sites of interest

Day 04: OMD to Pretoria
